Summer heat dials up heated exchanges...

~ I will be glad when they develop smaller, more efficient batteries that can store electicity to run homes long term. The technology is finally advancing at a good pace. That will be the day I invest in them, as well as solar panels and wind turbines for personal use.

~ Speaking of technology, check out this new lightbulb that turns your desk into a touchscreen for you smartphone.  Ingenious!  Down side?  I have to clean up my desk…

~ I still haven’t bought a dashcam. I want one, but just not motivated to have more stuff to keep up with.

~ There is a fairly heated thread on one of my posts that is making my head spin a bit. I like differing views, but sometimes it gets messy and too personal. The Deity is not popular in all circles.

~ No one is happy with the solution/healthcare bill proposed by Republicans, including their own party. They were not prepared for Trump to be president so they didn’t get ahead of the curve. They will take a well deserved beating over this misstep.

~ It seems the POTUS is taking an active roll in standing up to those countries who are testing our boundaries. Most notably, North Korea, Syria, Russia and several others. On the world stage of politics, posturing is everything.

~ Can you imagine this happening to you. Absolutely horrific…

That cremation story is fake. But you're a Trumplodite, so you're susceptible to believing FAKE NEWS.

I had completely forgotten about that thread. Thank you? for the reminder, Denney.

Oh, you think the morgue thing is atrocious, take a look at what happens to a devout Muslim who farts in a mosque. Link
The fact they do that their own for a nothing more than a bodily function should let the rest of the world know what's in store from those barbaric "people."

Oh and just an FYI... World News Daily Report is a KNOWN "fake news site." But it is a lot of fun...hehehehehee

Dude, enjoy your blog tremendously, but the morgue guy story is a hoax, although I imagine if it had happened to anyone it would be horrific.

Uh, World News Daily Report is a well-known fake news web site.

You want to know who else is amazing at getting out the "Fake News"? CNN is doing their darndest to keep up the BS of Trump colluding with the Russians, even when Van Jones says "The Russia thing is just a big nothingburger."

I'm fairly certain BG won't be reporting that REAL NEWS soooo, I hi-jacked your blog. *:)

I love it that Mzchief (or Barry if you prefer) has decided to slither in.

Denney - Not sure how soon we'll see electric storage capable of running a whole household, but with the recent advances in LED technology, it's become quite viable to have a low voltage DC bus to power lighting and entertainment devices, leaving AC demand for only the heavy lifting appliances like washer/dryer, fridge, and A/C.

Like you, I like the idea of the dash cam - even better, a two-channel onboard DVR that records fore and aft. Hasn't made it onto my front burner yet, either.

On the O-care fiasco, part of me thinks it would be best [politically] to let it die, as jacking with it is like handling a live wire (third rail?). I agree that one would think the GOP would have been more prepared.

The snowflakes will no doubt decry U.S. saber-rattling in the hot-spots you mentioned, but I find it refreshing that we're no longer going to be cowed in the chambers of the worthless U.N. Many will label it as warmongering, when in fact the only thing that will preserve a nation's sovereignty is power - we can buy the world a Coke all day, and hold hands singing kumbaya, but if we are weak, we will regret it.

Several months ago I spent some time researching the settlement of Texas from 1820-1836. Very interesting, as Mexico's intention to grow a counterbalance to native tribes' control of the territory developed into an unintended consequence [for Mexico] culminating in Texas' independence. Conversely, in recent decades, we have seen large influxes of people from the south, whose allegiance may or may not be with the USA. While Mexico is in no position militarily or economically to try to reclaim Texas or any part of the Southwest, it's still worth noting and watching.

Also of interest is the subject of the Convention of States. Since I was in high school, there've been 'Texas Secede' movements periodically, usually met with derision. Though I think it's at least arguable that Texas could be a viable country, I think that's not where the game is headed (which I've noted from time to time). Rather, through a forum such as COS, I can foresee a large federation of states running from the Gulf through western Canadian provinces [disaffected with Ottawa] to Alaska, bifurcating the east and west coast states (and probably IL, WI, and MI, MN). And, whether it meets Article V thresholds or not, it could happen because the heartland would have the upper hand vs. the welfare states like CT, IL, CA. I'm reminded that the USA wasn't formed by an international council adjudicating the terms of British colonial rule - it was because the Founders (I would say my forebears, but for all I know, mine likely arrived on these shores from Scotland/Ireland/Germany around the 1870s) believed in the idea of this nation enough to use force to birth it. Interesting stuff.

Clearly, you're either new or VERY slow. I've been commenting on Denney's Blog since 2009 and will continue to do so, unless Denney asks me to stop.

Oh yes, please do keep it up. You're a fake, a troll, and you know it. Your own words betray you. You are not conservative and all you ever add to the conversation is outrageous indignation and a blustering ego. Since some of us know who you really are, it's doubly entertaining.

You are fake. Non-accountable. You're still anonymous if you wear a mask. Troll.
