So when people call you or a group you belong to racist, you might want to consider the proposition that these people are actually projecting their own attitudes, inclinations and impulses onto you, which they themselves possess and are in denial.
Research indicates“…the projection of one’s negative qualities onto others is a common process in everyday life.”

Furthermore, psychological projection “is more commonly found in the neurotic or psychotic—in personalities functioning at a primitive level as in narcissistic personality disorder or borderline personality disorder.”
Practical examples, which are being screamed from the mountain tops of social and mainstream media: blaming the victim, bulling, guilt and hope. We may all be guilty of these to some degree.
So if you choose to allow the accusations of neurotic or psychotic personalities to influence your actions, behavior or beliefs, that’s your choice, it's called codependency.
Please remember these people suffer from a psychological disorder and their goal is to defend their denial, ideology and behavior. The truth is found in your heart and demonstrated by your actions.
Can you imagine what would happen if these same accusers were identified as suffering from narcissistic personality disorder or borderline personality disorder? Diagnosed as mentally ill? Wouldn't the dialog get interesting...
Of course, popular culture would probably be even more sympathetic, since, you know, they're black, which they portray as disadvantaged in America. Don't you find it odd other races aren't subscribing to this attitude and ideology?

Racists are whoever liberals say they are. However, we all know only white devils can be racist. I'm not even certain if two white men can have this discussion. It's not really allowed. We didn't have this little talk here.
