For the love of...

I noticed where Weatherford College could lose $1.4 million in state funding over the next 2 years. Wouldn’t it be something if they shut down the Wise County campus? Wise County property taxes funded the campus, I guess they would have to raise our taxes again to cover the lost revenue.

Chicago State University has educated many poor blacks through state funded education programs. The liberal government there can no longer continue the $30 million a year in funding. Liberals won’t tell you that free programs can’t exist if no one is left to pay for them. Running out of money is always the end result.

The liberal group Democracy Spring held a protest in DC where 400 were arrested. Although I am a conservative, both fiscally and socially, I find myself supporting their cause. Hell may have frozen over, but they should not expect a check.

You know there might be a problem with the system when the State Department has to fight the Justice Department for a year to release documents for the investigation on Fast and Furious.

The POTUS says Hillary wouldn’t endanger the US intentionally with emails. Intent should have nothing to do with breaking the law, similar to ignorance not being an excuse.

Kids books have become terribly entertaining. One example is the pop up book that features Transformers that actually transform. Very cool.

And then they have finally made a real life hoverboard. I’ve been able to resist getting a drone and other popular gadgets, but I may not be able to resist having one of these…

I agree that the 5 points included in the "5 Things Bernie..." attachment are truisms. In thinking about the "...NEVER Understand:" part, however, I have this to say: I believe that I have almost zero influence to change anyone's mind in that regard, so I don't argue about it anymore. When it arises in conversation, I will make the statement, which is addressed by point #2, that the push for socialism is rooted in covetous. It is not just, fair, moral, or right, and it is not supported by Judeo-Christian teaching; quite the contrary, in fact.
I remember Winston Churchill's observation, "If you are young and not a liberal, you don't have a heart. If you are old and not a conservative, you don't have a brain." Something happens over the course of life to cause some to change their position.
