Fresh off the presses of the NY Times. In my opinion, this is a big deal. A Christian church facilitating anti-biblical values and behavior. Biblically speaking, sin is expected...practicing it as a lifestyle is not.
I have 4 predictions.
1. The Presbyterian Church will explode with new members of the LGBT community.
2. The new LGBT membership will take over the Presbyterian Church through its political infrastructure within 5 years.
3. The majority of members who leave the Presbyerian Church will become Methodists.
4. Westboro Baptist Church will go off on them like flies on stink.
The Holy Bible is specific on the subject:
That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. Romans 1: 26-28
I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people. It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 1 Corinthians 5:11-12That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Anyone who continues to live in him [Christ] will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is. 1 John 3:6
