A buddy of mine took this "Painted Blunting" away from his cat Tuesday. Come to find out it migrates here from southern Mexico to hatch it's young. I don't know that I've ever seen one before, but it doesn't surprise me. Everything on earth seems to want a US birth certificate...

Wow, that bird is gorgeous. What a sweet thing it is. Nice of your buddy to rescue it from the jaws of death too!!
Chillax squat...It's not big enough to throw in your ckn pot and eat. Stick to the possum stew and roadkill steak.
Something else that migrates here is the Mexican free tailed bat. I had one in college. Great to hang out with but I wouldn't want to marry one.
