I am the last person who should be anyone's leader, but thank you for the compliment since I'm such an infantile egomaniac. Also, thank you for asking my opinion on Governor Perry's actions, so allow me to hypothesize.
The governor of this great state is just another POS politician paying off campaign contributors in an effort to gain momentum for the upcoming election. He has a very big problem if he loses this election, very big! As a career politician, a loss would mean his career plans are finished! Political death is painful and expensive, especially for someone as ambitious as Rick Perry.
The payoff to this construction will gain him a lucrative kickback and help him establish a good footing for the hispanic/minority vote. Why use one's on capital when government/taxpayer funding is available.
Just because he is a Republican doesn't mean he isn't just as guilty as Democrats when it comes to playing ball with special interest groups. He is a grandstanding hypocrite who I have no use for!
Political party affiliation does not discriminate when greed, corruption or ambition come into the picture. It was a smart political move for him. Have you read about this incident anywhere other than my blog? He's wheeling and dealing under the radar, but that's where I thrive; until they throw me into a reeducation camp.
