99% of anger is caused by fear....

~ I smiled Sunday morning after watching the new press secretary call out journalists and main stream media for their dishonest coverage of the inauguration. I applaud his statement, “There’s been a lot of talk in the media about the responsibility of the media to hold Donald Trump accountable, and I’m here to tell you that it goes two ways. We’re gonna hold the press accountable as well.

The MSM has dominated and enjoyed the greatest amount of influence over the success of political candidates and elections in this country, until this election. They don’t like him since he did not curry their favor, bypassed them and called them out for their deceitfulness. I foresee a whole new era of news media, one that leftist billionaires don’t control.

The only people who continually tune in to negativity love to feed from hate and discord. Normal people tune it out and don’t spend much time engaging in argument and dissension. Haters only friends are other haters. Blowing up cars is not an act of protest, it’s an act of terrorism.

"To Serve and Protect": that's the purpose of government, on every level. As an American, do you feel safer after everything the Obama administration has done over the last 8 years? Be honest...

~ I am profitting from haters and criminals. I invested heavily in Corrections Corp of America after Trump won, it's up 20%.  Obama's agenda included releasing criminals, I am expecting the Trump administration to be less forgiving.  I forsee more prisons. Cleaning up the inner cities will add greatly to prison population.

~ The women’s protest in Washington was ridiculous. It was not a women’s protest because they disinvited women’s groups who were pro-life or did not share their liberal values. This was a protest because their candidate, Hillary, didn’t win. I hope the Secret Service crawl up Madonna’s butt and die.

These people don’t have a clue about the problems of ordinary Americans. They promote special rights and privileges of fringe groups and social deviates. Let me assure you, when they stand before the creator, they will tremble, be silenced, humbled and be shown the truth that they refuse to believe. Pray for these fools.

~ How ironic that the most “ruling” and “regulating” POTUS in history bestowed the Freedom medal to his VP…

~ Congressional members are sure basking in the media attention they are receiving with all the Trump issues. They stand up and shout out for citizens’ rights, until a lobbyist comes by with a check and helps them change their position. Hypocrites, all of them!

Lobbyists are going to have a much more difficult time paying off Trump's cabinet and administration.  They don't need the money!  Like Trump, they want to go down in history for "making America great again".

I'm not afraid of your imaginary friend. Grow up.

11:47 --

Why are you so sure there is nothing? And why does belief assume a mantle of immaturity (in your non-belief system)?

The Bible says the only thing there is to fear is God.

If you cannot imagine God, perhaps you need to grow up. What makes you believe your thoughts are superior and you have a corner on the truth?

You've chosen a very foolish way to go but the good news is that you can turn it all around at any given moment.

You are cordially invited to post more of your nonsense so that we may point out more of your inconsistencies.

Thanks and ya'll come back now, hear?

"Why are you so sure there is nothing?" I'm not sure there is nothing, I'm taking the default position that there's no good reason to believe in any god until the existence of one has been demonstrated.

"And why does belief assume a mantle of immaturity (in your non-belief system)?" Because there is the same amount of evidence for the existence of god as there is for the existence of the tooth fairy, and yet you still believe.

"The Bible says the only thing there is to fear is God." Why should I believe anything the bible says? There's no evidence that it was "divinely inspired". It reads more like the incoherent ramblings of a bunch of misogynist, racist, sexually repressed bronze age men, which it is.

"If you cannot imagine God, perhaps you need to grow up. What makes you believe your thoughts are superior and you have a corner on the truth?" You're right, I can't imagine god, because no one has ever given a coherent description of what a god is.

"You've chosen a very foolish way to go but the good news is that you can turn it all around at any given moment." Maybe you chose the wrong way to go. Maybe the Muslims are right.

"You are cordially invited to post more of your nonsense so that we may point out more of your inconsistencies." And you're invited to continue to believe in nonsense like virgin births and talking snakes.

"Why are you so sure there is nothing?" I'm not sure there is nothing, I'm taking the default position that there's no good reason to believe in any god until the existence of one has been demonstrated. -- Your "default" position is your default position only and has nothing to do with the rest of us. I'm not just being clever here; rather, I am making a point in logic. You have a position and you are unwilling to even consider another person's position. You believe you are the final authority, correct? Why would you believe that? Do you consider yourself more intelligent, educated, or perhaps evolved than others? You see, as far as intellect goes, you're up against some powerful minds throughout history who say they believe God does exist.

"And why does belief assume a mantle of immaturity (in your non-belief system)?" Because there is the same amount of evidence for the existence of god as there is for the existence of the tooth fairy, and yet you still believe. -- This is a patently false statement designed to sound clever but it's really not even a good try. You see, there is a book and scriptures that detail the existence of God and the history of man. You should read it. Put away your fairy tales and consider the truth.

"The Bible says the only thing there is to fear is God." Why should I believe anything the bible says? There's no evidence that it was "divinely inspired". It reads more like the incoherent ramblings of a bunch of misogynist, racist, sexually repressed bronze age men, which it is. -- Trust me, you should believe everything the Bible says. It is obvious you have a restless mind. Reading the Bible can help with that. Can you prove there is no evidence it was not divinely inspired? Of course not, yet you say it anyway, for more clever impact, I suppose. To you, it probably does sound incoherent because you have so much hate in you. I am not a bronze age man. Are my "ramblings" incoherent? Does it make me a racist, sexually-repressed, woman-hater to claim faith in God? I can just as easily claim that your lack of faith promotes immorality, illogic, sickness, death, and destruction, which it does.

"If you cannot imagine God, perhaps you need to grow up. What makes you believe your thoughts are superior and you have a corner on the truth?" You're right, I can't imagine god, because no one has ever given a coherent description of what a god is. Of course I'm right and thanks for admitting it. That description you seek is in the book you disdain. Try reading it for yourself.

"You've chosen a very foolish way to go but the good news is that you can turn it all around at any given moment." Maybe you chose the wrong way to go. Maybe the Muslims are right. -- No, I have chosen the only way. There is only one way to salvation and you already know what that is, don't you?

"You are cordially invited to post more of your nonsense so that we may point out more of your inconsistencies." And you're invited to continue to believe in nonsense like virgin births and talking snakes. -- And you may continue to believe socialism without Christianity is the way to go. Eventually, you will understand. It may be too late, but you will understand. Ha ha I've been listening to Obama for the past eight years so I know for sure talking snakes do exist. Virgin birth? Why not? Aren't scientists performing these types of miracles in the lab these days?

Good for God!

Need proof for the existence of God? There is more than enough; however, those who do not believe will not accept the proof.

Anyway, here is a website with oodles of info: http://godandscience.org/

Enjoy!

I believe in science, and the advancement thereof. Nonetheless, the explanation of the world we live in as being the result of a fortuitous cataclysmic event simply isn't logical.

My pastor uses the example of a man walking in the woods. He looks down and sees a Rolex watch on the forest floor. The assumption - rightly - is that someone dropped it there, not that the trees serendipitously dropped materials that assembled themselves into a precision timepiece. If you consider the relative complexity of the human body (compared to a wristwatch), and of animals, and plants, etc. and the existence of distinct families and species - can you explain their development in terms of cosmic happenstance?

I have lots of tools, building materials, and hardware in my garage. None has spontaneously assembled into a cookbox, chest of drawers, or anything else. Clearly, there must be a designer and creator to assemble the pieces.

Of course, as Denney says, I could be wrong...(but based on the evidence, I don't believe that I am)

Grow up and stop believing in God? Is that what that guy said?

I have plenty of good one-liners to respond with but I suspect Denney's tormentor is beyond conversation at this point. It's a personal problem.

Snowflake, maybe?

It's perfectly fine to have doubts about one's faith as it reflects doubts about ourselves. Going the way of non-belief is the easy way.

I guess I have won banishment from the Liberally Lean blog -- my posts no longer get approved. It's been like that for a few weeks now. Although I am on the conservative side, I am respectful and I do not use profanity but I still got banned. Well, it's not the first snowflake site that decided to remove sanity & logic from its boards.

So anyway, Denney needs to post more so that I have a Wise County place to comment. I wonder how many conservative voices that liberal lawyer guy has silenced? LL is kinda like an echo chamber these days. Other than Mzchief and Wordkyle, many conservatives (like me) appear to have been banned which leads me to believe libs do not want a platform where all voices can be heard. What hypocrites.

Not saying Mzchief is conservative, but I think the liberal lawyer would have his readers think she is.
