Think Happy Thoughts

Weren't guns used to capture/kill the terrorists?

~ Passengers on a train in D.C. watch a man stabbed to death by an 18 year old who was robbing the passengers. The article’s author calls the men who would not help, Beta Males, and pretty much describes them as cowards. Part of me thinks I would rather be a live coward than a dead hero.

Would this have happened if someone on the train was armed with a gun?  Would his life been spared? Would a gun have saved his life?

~ In the wheels off section, a Maryland judge was fined $5,000, sentenced to 1 year probation and anger management classes for having a defendant tazed by an ankle bracelet because he wouldn’t stop talking. I have little sympathy for either party. Is that bad?

I wonder what the defendant would do if he were in his hood and told someone to shut up but they kept running their head at him? I bet he would pull the gun that he continues to carry, feloniously.

~ This interview by Megyn Kelly about what offends students at Harvard University has me shaking my head. The upcoming generation will be sheep for the slaughter. Until you live without freedoms, you cannot truly appreciate our liberties.

~ Do you find it difficult to believe that the Department of Homeland Security would try to bribe an employee to keep quiet after she discovered the corruption in the ranks. I bet Snopes will find a way to say this story is false.

~ I am saddened that I am no longer able to comment on one of the few blogs I read: North Texas Drifter. Tommyboy has even removed any contact information from his blog, so I can’t share my remorse over the issue. How can he continue to operate without my occasional opinion or comment? The horror…

Huh? I did remove contact info, didn't I? I had planned to replace the old email address with a new one but obviously I got distracted (probably by something shiny). I will furnish another email but can't you post anyway?

I am unable to post... and I wanted to ask you a question. No big thing but I figured you just didn't want comments or email.

Don't know why you are unable to post. I'll check...

I have never seen any reader comment on North Texas Drifter. I have made a few, but they never show up. I like his blog, but I figured he just wanted to talk and not listen.

Yeh, there aren't a lot of comments over at the Drifter but the comments sections do work. I know because once in a while I'll leave an encouraging message to myself. Then I have to approve the post before it'll appear.

Anyway, you can leave a message if you want. Denney, I think your post didn't make it because I was logged in and was playing with gadgets on the web site at the same time.

Oh, and thanks for visiting NTD. Ya'll come back now!
