Smile, at least until it affects your income...

 ~ It looks like the County Judge is out to make a name for himself and rescue Wise County in the process. Saving a few bucks by curtailing indigent burials and kicking the mentally ill out of the Wise County Jail. BTW, jails are the largest institutional housing for the mentally ill in America. He is either naïve or stupid if he really believes he’s capable of “making sure they get the help they need”.

This problem exists all across America and no matter how many programs and resources are used, they eventually end up under bridges, in alleys, rescue missions or any place where they can safely exist. Judge Clark makes a good show at wanting to improve the system, but I don’t think the place to start is by cutting aid to the poor and mentally ill, whether its burials or housing. 

There’s plenty of cheese to cut in every county funded office, but he’s not be brave enough to cut existing budgets, since he wouldn’t be near as popular with his fellow bureaucrats, who can and will defend themselves and their budgets, unlike the dead and insane.

 ~ My diseased mind did a double take when I read the statement in the NY Times, “Transgender issues today are rooted in a decades-long struggle for acceptance.” My first thought was ‘Hell, if they can’t accept their own sex, why would they expect people to accept their choice to change it?’

Transgender surgery at 18, hormone blockers at 12-13, funded by the US government through Medicaid and fought for by organizations like Empire State Pride Agenda. I imagine I’m the only one who has issues with this treatment. So much for psychological studies to determine safety…

 ~ Rachel Dolezal was quoted as saying, “I identify as black”. That’s her right, but does that mean I can have feathers surgically implanted and identify as a bald eagle to receive special rights and protection? I smell a book deal in the works.

 ~ I would like to thank Donald Trump for entering the Presidential campaign.  He will make Republicans look more like the circus performers they really are.  My first thought was that the Clinton Foundation must have offered to finance one of his building projects if he ran.

 ~ The Pope is now onboard with Climate Change and wants a global political authority to deal with it. “Grave consequences” were his prediction. I suggest he reread Revelation. Maybe focus more on saving souls and the Catholic Church. Although, he could direct the Vatican bank to provide more aid to help the poor…

 ~ You know all these programs and websites that want to help you keep your passwords safe and protected? One of them was hacked recently, which is one reason I have refused to allow them my passwords.
