How criminals get
guns in New York

Just read the Newspaper for location
The home of a gun owner, whose address was published by a New York newspaper, has been burglarized and a state lawmaker said it appears the burglars may have used the newspaper’s map to target the residence.
“Luckily the gun was locked up and no one was hurt,” Sen. Greg Ball said.
“The Journal News has placed the lives of these folks at risk by creating a virtual shopping list for criminals and nut jobs,” said Ball. ~ More at Fox News

What? I know this is a snippet of a larger quote but....what?

No one was hurt because the gun was locked up?

So, someone breaks into a house, probably carrying some type of weapon, malicious intent, but because they were unable to break the safe and get to the mean guns no one was hurt?

What kind of mentality is that?

Ok....wait. I take it back.
He was saying "luckily, the gun was not stolen".

Good job, Mr Ball. You scare me for a bit.
