"Their brains are rewarded not for staying on task but for jumping to the next thing. The worry is we're raising a generation of kids in front of screens whose brains are going to be wired differently." ~ Michael Rich, executive director of the Center on Media and Child Health, on how digital technology affects children.

Denny, we are raising a new generation that are much more adapt to change than us and they need to be! I have great hopes for them. They are more open and accepting of the differences in cultures than us and they will need that, as this is going to a different world than ours. They are awesome! I cannot imagine my generation which graduated some 30 years ago adjusting to the differences that will come with the changes in our culture but I do see this new generation leading us. This from someone who has 20+ years in public education-- yes they are way smarter than us!! Thank the Lord!!
Having taught recently in public schools, I'm afraid I have to disagree. The upcoming generation is as lost and stupid as the preceding.
