Sometimes, a picture is worth
more than any words

I think this moto/thought is more appropriate.

Keep in mind, if every religion was judged based on the actions of the radical, extremist fringe, Christianity would be not better than Islam.

Question for MZ? How many Christians have blown up large buildings in recent history?

11:25 Didn't our last President, who prefesses to be a Christian by the way, lie to the American public about his intentions with respect to Iraq? I think it was something about the country possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction. If Christianity were judged on him and his followers, it would have a very bad reputation; however, as it stands, most folks are willing to judge it based on Jesus, His love, His actions and the actions of those who try to sho that love through their own actions.

In the rational mind, is not there a difference between actions taken by persons of a given faith versus actions taken by persons in the name/on behalf of their faith.

So far as I am aware, GWB did not claim that God or Jesus mandated the invasion of Iraq. And even though the post-game films failed to show the WMD, it was far from a forgone conclusion, with the various swirling intel available, at the time the decision was made.

We may contrast that with the explicit stated purpose of the Jihadists whose actions were based solely, absolutely on religious intolerance.

Yes, there are actually Christian extremists extant. Fred Phelps' bunch certainly comes to mind, and criminals who explode abortion clinics.

But, while it may be cute and au courant to disparage Christianity (thank you very much Graham Nash) in the guise of "fairness", to do so is intellectually lazy and morally bankrupt.

The scorecard isn't even close.

To anonymous 11:25...
I am uncertain of the size of the buildings that housed the abortion clinics that have been bombed/burned but EVERYONE was burned and bombed by a radical, extremist Christian.

Other than religious dogma, there is NO difference between radical, extremist Muslims murdering people for choosing to NOT adhere to their Islamic beliefs and radical, extremist Christians murdering people for choosing to NOT adhere to their Christian beliefs.

Radical Islamists blow non-believers up, radical Christians preach on street corners about the love of Christ. Question: do Muslim extremists or Christian extremists pose the gravest threat to our quality of life and existence in the U.S.?
