Socialized health care...
the devil's in the details!

History Lessons

Do you believe $1 trillion dollars is correct even though none of his other projections have been accurate? Every time someone talks about government health care and how it will save Americans money, remember this:
“At its start in 1966, Medicare cost $3 billion. The House Ways and Means Committee estimated that Medicare would cost only about $ 12 billion by 1990 (a figure that included an allowance for inflation). This was a supposedly "conservative" estimate. But in 1990 Medicare actually cost $107 billion.”

Five myths of drug importation

Do you know how we will pay for health care reform? No one does, it's a secret.
House Ways & Means Chairman Charles Rangel says, ““We have a problem in not wanting to attract enough negative attention to the bill in terms of the pay-fors. Let them get a good feel for the coverage.”
Do you think everyone will get health insurance in his plan?
Sorry, his proposed plan will still leave tens of millions uninsured! It will only affect 16 million people.
Nightmares

In sickness or disease, if your quality of life costs more than $45,000 a year, you need to make funeral arrangements.
‘In Britain, a government agency evaluates new medical products for their “cost effectiveness” before citizens can get access to them. The agency has concluded that $45,000 is the most worth paying for products that extend a person’s life by one “quality-adjusted” year.’
How many elderly will die in this reformation? His plans include cutting Medicare/Medicaid by hundreds of billions of dollars.

Speaking of cost, the 0bama administration now is projecting the cost of health care reform, at $1 trillion for a ten-year term. It's more like $4 trillion.

Reality

The President's full healthcare plan. How many people have read it? It would make me ill to read all the discretionary government control of treatment.

I plan to continually update this post and link back to it as more information comes available...
