Email of the day: Hablas Inglés?

Try to remember this EVERY TIME you have to talk to a customer service representative and you cannot understand them. I
did not know that we could do this, but I sure am going to try it. Help bring jobs back to the U.S.A. Ask for an American!

How to save some American jobs and we can help!

Hi Everyone,

I want to share with you some great information that I found out purely by accident. I believe it can also save and create jobs in America while giving people better customer service.

So how many times have you called a companies service phone line and found that the rep. can barely speak English? Once with a major mortgage company it was so bad I demanded to speak with someone who spoke English. Right at that moment I broke the code, the secret password for customer service.

Come to find out that every American company using overseas operators must transfer you to an American rep. by saying, "I want to speak to a representative in America". (Don't take no for an answer on this)

This was confirmed by the American rep. that they must transfer you after that request. I've tried it on a half a dozen major companies including cable, bank, phone and mortgage companies.

It works every time and I actually get my issues taken care of.

Hey there Denny Crane...this is the best news I've read in a very long while. I get so aggravated when the "reps" do not understand me or I do not understand them.

As it is, I start out feeling like I am doing their job for them when I need to call to get an error (on the company's part) eradicated.

Plus, I have nothing but contempt for companies who outsize work.

I usually demand a supervisor but now I will ask to speak with an American. Of course that won't completely get rid of the problem since I find most American "reps" do not listen or get the gist so I still need to repeat myself and demand a supervisor.

I tell them that I charge a flat fee of $50.00 for every call I need to make to get the problem straightened out and $30.00 for each minute I am on the phone. I do send bills but no one has paid so far. Maybe I need to take it to a higher level. I, of course, think this is totally unfair. My time is money too. If I am going to do their job then I want to get paid and since I then put myself into the catagory of a consultant I set my fee as I see fit.

Thanks for the info and thanks for stopping by to visit my blog.
