Why would our government, starting with Bush, waste billions of tax dollars to bailout a dysfunctional General Motors? Non-governmental experts predicted that bankruptcy was inevitable. I read somewhere that Bush did it because he didn’t want it to happen during his watch, but I can only come up with one other reason it continued... To payoff the unions for their campaign contributions. The same way they paid off AIG for their contributions. It boggles my mind as to why we let hundreds of billions go overseas… who got that money? Does anyone believe our politicians don't know exactly what they're doing?
I heard this statement in a movie 20 years ago and have never forgotten it. This statement comes to mind when I think about the future of America's economy. This is the rainy day our grandparents spoke about.
I wish Ronald Reagan were here to implement Reaganomics, his plan that successfully led America out of economic crisis. President Reagan didn't just talk about hope, he actually instilled faith and hope into the American people. No matter what you read on the left-wing blogsites, the economy was in worse shape than it was when Barack Obama became President.
