Yikes! Don't despair, DC, I took the test also, and came up as a 'centrist' as well! Social liberal/economic conservative.
Although I feel a bit uneasy about that (the liberal part anyway), I was encouraged by taking the civics quiz on Shark's site - got 94% without studying!

I failed to scroll down after viewing my result as a 'centrist' on the poll.
Heck, after seeing the examples: GWB, TJ, Gandhi, Stalin - I'm positively elated to be in the same quadrant as TJ!
So, maybe a centrist isn't such a bad thing after all?
