Japan Should Scrap U.S. Debt?!?! Our great nation is now a great credit risk… Bloomberg
First, let me say, I am an optimist. Second, I pray I am wrong!
Congress is the only branch of government allowed to spend money and incur debt. In an effort to build personal wealth and create Utopia, the U S Congress has personally, jointly and severally emasculated the financial strength of our once great nation on the world stage. Greed, world dominance, perversion and wickedness of government has caused the downfall of many great civilizations throughout history: and now, as foretold, it is upon us - Americans.
Americans, the people, will pay the highest price. Throughout history, when the people strayed from God and His precepts, He would allow them to be held in bondage until the people repented and called upon Him for deliverance from their oppression and poverty. You would think that thousands of years of history would have taught man something. Not!
As of now, America has the status of a third world country! Our constitutional rights will be for sale, as well as our real estate, at a bargain basement price to the countries who have our money. Watch as communes form so as to prevent homelessness and starvation. People will subscribe to any society that will provide food, clothing and shelter for themselves and their families; just as you would.
Finally, I would like to take the time and make this very special effort to thank our Congress, past and present, for bankrupting the United States of America. Not only are you responsible for the financial devastation and downfall of millions of Americans, but the entire world will suffer from your irresponsibility and dishonesty.
Kindest personal regards,

A store that sells new husbands recently opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:
You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!
So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads: Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs
She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads: Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.
'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more.' So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads: Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.
'Wow,' she thinks of getting off, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads: Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework.
'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!' Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads: Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
PLEASE NOTE: To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.
The first floor has wives that love sex.
The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

Does this look like a terrorist, Holocaust-denier to you?
Surely this man couldn't believe the nation of Israel is illegitimate and wants them "wiped off the map".
Surely he did not say, "In the world, there are deviations from the right path: Christianity and Judaism. ...Islam is the only religion that [can] save mankind."
Liberals think he's just misunderstood. I guess he could have trouble communicating how he really feels when as a politician he has to mix lies with truth in order to be popular at home and in the region. I tend to take him at face value and believe him, except the part about not wanting nuclear weapons.
Of course, he's the number 2 man in power in Iran; behind the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and has the final word in all aspects of foreign and domestic policies.

First, I must give a disclaimer: I am not judging anyone’s actions, behavior or motives. I am not preaching to anyone. This is just my perception of the controversy of commercialism and Christmas and why Christians participate in the affair.
I can understand the confusion, but I highly recommend one looks in the mirror before pointing a finger and condemning Christians who take part in the phenomenon. I try to look at a bigger picture. My thoughts take me to an alternate perspective. Of course, no one really cares what I think so this should be easily dismissed as lunacy.
Although considered sinful in the Holy Bible, materialism is just a fact of life and demonstrates one of the vast imperfections of man. As an American, I find it very difficult to avoid this very powerful desire. Without materialism, commercialism would be much less widespread.
On the other hand, commercialism has actually made Christmas the most popular holiday in the world. It seems that this sizeable money-making holiday has actually helped spread Christianity in several different ways. Could this be God’s way of turning something sinful into a method of spreading the story of Jesus and Christianity. Could God actually work in mysterious ways?
Oh, and by the way, Christmas is also when charitable giving is at an all time high; not only for churches and Christian families, but all factions of the business sector as well. I really don’t believe corporations would be near as charitable during Christmas if it were not as commercialized. Bonuses, days off, parties and sponsorships might just dry up for a holiday like Chanukah.
Have you ever given a gift and knew it made a difference in someone’s life? It may not have been the gift, but showing someone you thought of them and you cared enough to show it. When done in honor and celebration of the birth of Jesus is even more meaningful for any Christian giver. I think this blessing holds true for non Christians acting out of kindness and love at any time of the year.
If we as Christians gift on birthdays, what better way to celebrate the birth of Christ than by giving? Jesus was the greatest gift ever given: from a loving God to all humankind. God set the example of giving, as did Jesus when He gave His life for us. Gifting is not always the best way of following these examples, but many times it’s much easier than baking a pie or trimming someone’s trees. We were put on earth to share God’s love. Although far from perfect, making a difference in peoples' lives is what Christianity is all about.
Have no fear about the abhorrent commercialism of Christmas, it will continue to fade as Americans replace it with secular holidays such as Festivus and Winter Solstice. Gifting, giving and generosity will deteriorate as worldly values become predominantly customary. The morality of American people will also change from biblical principles to secular ones, thus inspiring even more materialism, greed, perversion and irreverence.
Okay, you can attack now...
