Are you tired of apologizing
for the history of America
and her cruelty?

If you want a fresh look at the goodness of America instead of the evil America the left keeps using to shame us, then you MUST WATCH the recently released “AMERICA, Imagine The World Without Her” as seen through the eyes of Dinesh D’Souza.
Yea, he’s the guy whose team created “2016: Obama’s America”. He’s also the guy who was sent to prison a few weeks ago for campaign contribution violations. When’s the last time you heard of a liberal going to jail for campaign violations?
I must admit, I was beginning to believe some of the propaganda that people like Ward Churchill and Bill Ayers are preaching...trying to shame us for our behavior and history. They portray America as evil by accusing her of theft of land, theft of labor, theft of resources, the evils of capitalism and several other alleged actions that may not be as cut and dry as one might think.
I used to feel ashamed that we stole this land from Native Americans.  Although, before we came here, they killed and tortured each other to claim their tribe's territory.
Many people feel bad because we went to war with Mexico and took over half of it.  Have you actually thought about how many people living in Mexico wish we would have taken over the entire country and made it part of the USA?
The movie gave a different outlook on slavery throughout recorded history, and how our Constitution was the first official document that spoke out for the rights of all men.
And finally, he addressed the negative mindset of capitalism. How capitalism was about the only alternative to wealth other than war and conquest. Examples from all over the world of how capitalism is the true solution to eliminate poverty.
I am not using this movie to justify all our actions, because I don't believe we are innocent of wrongdoing.  However, I plan on watching this again because there is so much information I either didn’t know, or through the years just forgot.
Don’t take my word for it, see for it yourself and make your own judgment.  And it might not be a bad idea to make sure your kids and grandkids watch it...before our history gets rewritten.
There was a great price paid for our freedom and way of life, don't let these people turn it around and make you apologize for it!

I'm sure it's all irrelevant...

18,000 Nurses walk off the job on strike in Northern California… Even though replacement nurses are in place, I hope you don’t have loved ones in their facilities. I read where the union states it’s all about patient-care standards and safeguards for Ebola. I would think this an admirable event if there was not a raise in pay or benefits involved.
"You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before." - Rahm Emanuel
The European Space Agency seems to have landed a spacecraft on a comet. The Control Center in Germany picked up its signal just after lunch Tuesday. Good for them! I guess the next step will be trying to figure out how to change its existing path, just in case the need may arise...
If the Democratic Party “fashions itself” as a defender of the middle-class, working family, why do they focus so much attention on low-income groups? Seems like the only people getting pay raises, other than government and union workers, are low income and the elite. With the way things are going, I would be surprised if the Dems get the middle-class vote in the next Presidential election, notwithstanding union and govt workers.
Latest study says lightning strikes will increase by nearly 50% in the U.S. by the end of the century as our world gets warmer. That may be a blessing since we will probably learn to harness lightning for green energy. It could be a major power source by then. I can only imagine what the air and water quality will be like…
Well, it looks as if another militant group is joining ISIS (an Al Qaeda rival) to overthrow Egypt. They call it a holy war to get men to fight and die, but do not forget the stolen money, oil, seized weapons and jihadi-world prestige that they attain. For some reason, it almost always comes down to money, power and/or prestige.
Why am I thinking we won’t invade send more troops (en masse) to fight occupy the Middle East again until oil goes back over $90 a barrel?

Drama in America
Coming soon to a theatre near you

Hyundai and Kia recently got a taste of doing business in America when they agreed to settle a lawsuit with the US Justice Dept for $350 million because they misstated their cars’ fuel economy. You may think they deserve the hefty fine, but please remember that it’s the consumer who pays the bills. This would be considered extortion if it were any other entity than the US Govt.

Researchers with Fireeye Inc have found a bug in Apple’s operating system that they say makes most devices (iPads & iPhones) vulnerable to remote cyberattacks. Great! Just when you thought it was safe to use the latest, greatest technology, it gets slammed. Do be careful btw….

“Failure of politics”! That is what the President called the losses of the Democratic Party in the last election. He also says he needs to change this during his final years in office. Personally, I’ve had all the hope and change from this guy I care to experience.

Law enforcement are now attending seminars to fine tune a practice known as “Civil Asset Forfeiture”, which allows them to seize property without filing charges or securing convictions. States are all over this deal, which is now over $4 billion a year enterprise. New York Times
